The ISSF World Cup in Munich took place from 4. bis 13. Juni 2014. Just a few month before the World Championship world's top shooters came to Munich.

This was one of the most successful tournaments in the history of STEYR SPORT!

Sergey Kruglov from Russia gained Silver at the 10m Air rifle competition men with his STEYR Challenge E - the Match Air rifle with electronic trigger!

Three days later Pablo CARRERA gained souvereign with nearly 2 rings ahead of the second the Gold medal. The European Champion of 2012 and Bronze medalist of 2013 was able to let the competitiors behind him with 201,3 rings. Bronze went to the reigning Junior European Champion Pavlo KOROSTYLOV (URK) with 178,4 rings. Also on the rank 4: Atallah ALANAZI, KSA, 5: Vladimir GONTCHAROV, RUS and 6: PU Qifeng, CHN were STEYR-shooters.

The women made the sensation perfect. At the air pistol competion on the last day 7 out of 8 finalists shoot a STEYR air pistol! The Olympic Champion GUO Wenjun from China showed just before the World Championship in top condition. She gained Gold with 200,3 rings before Klaudia BRES from Poland with 198,6 and Alejandra ZAVALA from Mexico with 177,2 rings. Sonja FRANQUET (ESP), Olena KOSTEVYCH (UKR), Viktoria CHAIKA (BLR) and Antoaneta BONEVA (BUL) on the ranks 4, 5, 6 and 8 completed this fantastic result.

Once again congratulations to all the successful STEYR shooters and good luck for the upcoming ISSF World cups in Maribor and Beijing!

he 1st Austrian and open international Field Target Championship took place in Field Target Center Kufstein, Tyrol on May 24th.

Around 30 shooters in classes 1 and 2 (PCP and Springer) accepted the invitation and found perfect conditions with bright sunshine an the "Kinbergklamm". We are very pleased about the fact that about 70% of the present participants shoot with STEYR air rifles.

Also some employees of STEYR SPORT participated in the competiton. We cannot hide our pride about the circumstance that the Austrian Master is Ernst Huber, Chief of technical service of STEYR SPORT. Paul Egger gained the Silver medal, Robert Glombitza from Schützengilde Kufstein gained Bronze. All three shooters on the podium shot - not surprisingly - a STEYR-Field Target rifle.

The international competition was won by Stefan Kawnik (Germany) with 48 hits, just ahead of Adam Benke (Germany), who landed with 47 hits on the 3rd place.

Congratulations to all successfull STEYR-Shooters and the Schützengilde Kufstein to this great event!
